Actually, I'm on pace to have a record year, the portfolios I manage personally (those which don't give me always late K-1s to figure out) are running, as they say, "like a scalded dog." I like the response of the wealthy investor to the question of how he became so wealthy: "I sold profitable positions too soon."
As for entering into food fights, commentary is my style, not combat (as you well know). The recent I'm-smarter-no-you're-not-slugfest simply recalls to mind good old country wisdom (which even those orthographically and gramatically challenged posters CAN and SHOULD appreciate): never wrestle with a pig, you end up filthy and the pig enjoys it.
