Riosun Resources Corporation - Corporate Update
CALGARY, ALBERTA--The COMPANY wishes to confirm that
representatives of the private placement groups are currently in
Madagascar performing due diligence at the COMPANY's mine sites,
with the view to complete the transaction in a timely fashion.
The COMPANY is pleased to announce the appointment and acceptance
of Mr. Ken Hughes to the Board of Directors of the COMPANY,
effective immediately. Mr. Hughes is president of Trade
Strategies International and director, CFO and Secretary-Treasurer
of Hi-Alta, a publicly traded company on the Alberta Stock
Exchange. Mr. Hughes holds a Masters' degree from Harvard
University and has a background in the resource and financial
services sector. Mr. Hughes was a Member of Parliament for the
MacLeod riding in Alberta from 1988-1993 serving many leadership
roles, including Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime
Minister of Canada. Most recently, he has served as General
Manager, International Relations for Canada 2005 Exposition
Corporation.
The COMPANY welcomes Mr. Hughes to the board and the President
with its chief consultant, Mr. Griff Lloyd, P.Eng. P.Geo. are
completing the selection of the geological team to be sent to
Madagascar to perform detailed filed mapping, trenching
exploration and to define drill targets for coring. The COMPANY
is continuing with its exploration and operational plans as
previously announced.
The COMPANY looks forward to the upcoming Annual General Meeting
to be held June 26th, 1997 in Calgary, Alberta.
