Blow Hard Dan - Re: "You see, Paul, the Hammers run mainstream code at full speed, and can take advantage of 64bit extensions where they are needed. "
You see, Monica, the Hamsters don't run ANYTHING 'cus the DON'T EXIST !
And when they Do exist - in perhaps a year's time - they will run only the 32 bit software that exists today - which is already being run by Intel's Pentium III, Pentium 4 and Xeons.
Of course, all this software will run MUCH faster on PROVEN INTEL architectures - as Intel continues to introduce FASTER versions of these products - which are supported by a wide variety of PROVEN chip sets, and have EXTENSIVE HISTORY of successful deployment in THOUSANDS of Servers made by Compaq, IBM, HP, Dell, etc.
The Hamsters will be...uh..."HamSTrung" when they arrive for the typical AMD reason - no chip set support - except possibly flaky AMD chip sets.
So you see, Dan, you are providing yet another example of how you are nothing but a complete blow hard.
Careful when you get up - don't bump your head on Slick's desk !
