yea, but even in the POSITIVE article NTAP's ceo says things like the next couple qrtrs will be challenging...certain folks arent buying as much.....meeting estimates will be a challenge and etc, etc......I saw enough negative wording in that article, that if he says the same things in CC,......well.....ntap is beaten down, so no telling what it will do...but it still sports a rich valuation....as I've said, long term no problem, short term could see lower lows if CC has the words "challenging" "price pressures" and etc, that you very well may hear. hey, for all I know, they blow out the numbers and raise guidance.....but, since most companies are taking advantage of this time to lower the streets expectations, I dont see why ntap doesnt do the same...after all, now is the time to do it...with naz suffering, ntap at 52 week low....bad news maybe expected and good news more likely will be treated with big jump then big sell off.....they would be wise to lower the estimates for the future...temper enthusiasm and etc, etc....this way, future qrts will be more reasonable and less likely to disappoint.......
anyway, with ntap beaten down so much it will be very interesting what happens after earnings....greg M brought up excelent points that I mentioned a couple weeks ago about price and when folks bought in and what their strategy may be....if ntap breaks down, it could go fast. On the flip side, if the blow out and guide higher they will see a very nice jump...a jumpI expect will be met with alot of profit taking. JMHO |
