Hi Frank , neither your response, nor Elmat's, have offended me. They just indicate to old (warped) mind, that I have accomplished what I set out to do... IE get people to realize the purpose (goals ?)of this thread.
Rather enjoy the new title, and it's been over 50 years since anybody promised to kick my butt.
Most of the discussion on this thread extends beyond my technical abilities, and my command of the English language as well. So , going back to lurking mode is appropriate for me. However, until I hear otherwise, I intend to occasionally answer a question or two, and state my opinion(s) when I think things are gettin' kinda dumb.
Also, I think I see a tendency for people to discount any of my posted material which includes the dreaded W word (IE Wi-Lan). I think that this is unfortunate, because there can be wealth of information in them -- which relates to the many influential members of the OFDM-Forum work groups, for instance.
Like Elmat, I firmly believe that an important aspect of the technological future lies in our ability to exploit the ether.
But, I have great difficulty understanding just why this xDSL stuff is toast ... perhaps it's because I fully intend to subscribe to Earthlink's DSL service , as soon as I can get up to speed on how to add a DSL Router to my current IEEE802.11b Residential Gateway.
Best regards, Mardy. |
