Jim,

Q: If a chemical spills on the surface of the land, where does it go?

A: Into the water table. And then into rivers and lakes.

Guess how many wells in Tucson have been condemned because of TCE dumping in the desert by Hughes?

Petroleum deposits are trapped in protected geological structures, where they have remained for millions of years. When brought to the surface, they present potential for contamination of surface drinking water.
