Patricia, Texas has a dramatically lower cost of living compared to California. You don't NEED to find a job that makes as much, even though yes you can.
Why don't you jump on a job search website and start doing some test job searches for Texas before you start posting such drivel? Austin is a tech mecha, Houston isnt too shabby either, and is a leading Energy market headquarters for fortune 500 companies. Hell, you can make 12 bucks an hour plus tips delivering pizza here in Houston for crying out loud. I know 12 bucks an hour doesnt go far in California, but you can live damn well on it here, for unskilled labor.
Now, don't take my word for it Patricia. Here is a little tool for you.
movingcenter.com
Now, if you use the little tool, you will see that if you make 40,000 in Houston, Harris County Texas, you will need to make 61,429 in San Diego, California. For example. So you see Patricia, all that nonsense about not finding the same salary is a big red herring, isnt it now?
