PCCW May Still Go Ahead With Global Optical Fiber Project Feb 07, 2001 - 19:51:45 HKT Quamnet News Service Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008), Richard Li's communications company, said it may still go ahead with a global optical fiber network project without the participation of Telstra Corp., which jointly owns with PCCW an Internet Protocol backbone venture that focuses on the Asia Pacific region. The Australian company recently decided not to take part in that global project. But PCCW has yet to make a decision, said Richard Li, its chairman. quamnet.com
