Suzanne -- I have really no theory of my own. I know quite a number of people who cut losses against future gains to avoid 40% income tax on short term play. You right about various scenarios except one: "After 2 1/2 to 3 years, they need to use the money (what's left of it) for other purposes." Since very little is left, the loss will be huge and after 2 1/2 to 3 years why would they sell now for peanuts? They would rather ride out the storm. I believe they simply don't post because the boards have become disgusting: Name calling, vulgar remarks, name games with multiple aliases, one-liner moronic statements, harping the past, insults to posters with slightest positive inklings, and so on. My IGNORE list on RB is about to cross 50 aliases. But I firmly believe, once SR shows profits things will be forgotten and some sanity will return. Remember the old AOL's early days. It was gloom and doom all the time. Look at it now. Regards. -- D_R
