milo,

Intel to supply $2 bln memory chips to Siemens
FRANKFURT, Feb 8 (Reuters) - The world's largest maker of microchips Intel Corp (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) is to provide German electronics giant Siemens AG with flash memory chips worth over $2 bln over the next three years, Siemens said on Thursday.

The German firm said it had been supplied faulty chips by another U.S. chipmaker in the past which had slowed down its mobile phone production.

Waz up with this?

Another U.S. chipmaker? Could this be AMD? Wow, this really sucks <g> No wonder the entire telecom industry is in a funk;<gg> they have been supplying faulty products with faulty flash from AMD? (perhaps)<ggg> In that case, THANKS A LOT AMD! <gggg>

Seriously, though, maybe you can get the inside scoop on this from some of your fellow AMDers based in Europe. Andreas, if your reading...

Cheers.
