Bob:

The number of heartfelt and well-wishing responses to your post say it all, and I add my own best wishes to the list. I've been an SI member since I first became a self-directed investor in 1996, and it has been (and remains) the single most useful and timely source of information, opinion, news, and analysis that I use daily in support of my decisions.

The business model supporting SI (if there is one) has long puzzled me. I pay over $100/month to Quote.com for real time market feed and data, $13/month to Stocksmart.com for the stuff on their site, and I have subscriptions to several financial journals and newsletters. I'd sure pay a monthly fee to support SI and keep it running, and it could well be a better site if people had to pay to use it. The people running INSP just don't seem to have much idea of how to capitalize on the asset they have.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do next.

David T.
