mark ... I've just put the whole deal on hold until the weekend as I have two other boxes running now on dialups.. it is a puzzle to me .. you ... the thread .. AND to the techies at both dialup ISPs and the cable techie .. I will let the thread know WHEN I get to the bottom of it ... but for now, I've just accepted my fate ....gggggg thanks to all for the attempts .... Nemer
