I'm not suggesting they turn non-interventionist. However, they should intervene when there is evidence of a possibility of that spiraling inflation. Inflation has been tame by historical measure. The financial press, i.e., CNBC, has made a mockery of the data with their overanalysis on each report. Times have changed. Given the supposed intelligence of the members of the committee, I would hope they could do their job, which you aptly pointed out.knc
