B: NDC Automation, Inc., has Been Selected to Supply Asynchronous Motors to
Ecostar
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb 8, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- NDC Automation, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: AGVS), ("NDCA"), a Charlotte- based company, www.ndca.com,
announces it has been selected to provide asynchronous ("A/C") motors to be
incorporated into Ecostar's unique drive systems. Ecostar, formed in 1998, is
part of the Fuel Cell Alliance between Ford Motor Company, Ballard Power Systems
and Daimler Chrysler.
Ecostar plans to incorporate NDC's A/C motors in off-road applications. Ecostar,
located in Dearborn Michigan, with offices in Germany and Canada, is a leader in
the development of electric drive systems dedicated to providing clean solutions
for using energy in personal transportation. Ecostar is the primary development
center for the alliance's power electronics and electric power trains. Ecostar's
specific expertise includes power conversion, mechanical design, hardware and
software for motor and vehicle controls, and system integration.
