Thanks for the thoughtful response. Demand I have been thinking about, mostly in terms of what is optional in life and what is not.

I've not seen too many clients turn off their tech spending taps yet, seems to be a pent up back log of projects thanks to Y2K (in some sectors). But the rate of change seems to have slowed. Just a gut feel thing. Steady but not increasing. At least in my other world.

But these companies typically can turn off tech on a dime!

Food on the other hand - I wonder about that.

Anyways, since I'm not blessed with an overabundance of time, despite the interest I have in learning more about the underpinnings, I'm quite happy to rely on the charts for the most part.

just waiting for the S&P / NDX to make up their minds now.
