>LONDON, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Merrill Lynch whipped up a storm on Thursday, standing by Wednesday's "sell" trading advice on British software bellwether Autonomy (AUTN) which contradicted a "neutral" rating from Merrill's own technology analyst Bob, it sounds that the entire 400,000 shares short on Autonomy are all owned by the Merrill tech sales team. In a better investment climate those guys could have had their balls squeezed on feb 15th.
