RE: MCDT Class A and Class B The MCDT stock EMC shareholders received is Class A stock, symbol MCDTA. The existing McData stock is Class B, symbol MCDT. The only difference between the two Classes is that Class A stock carries 10x the voting rights of Class B. That's right, Class A is more valuable than Class B. The only, and I mean ONLY reason that the A is cheaper right now is that a lot of holders of the EMC distribution are selling indiscriminately. Eventually, the Class A will trade at a premium (or parity at a minimum) to the Class B stock.
