Cyrix and AMD should have defined a brand new motherboard for M3 and K6. The most important feature should be (my guess) PB cache on board as today's Pentium mobo, but capable to communicate with CPU at 1:1 or 1:1.5 or 1:2 of CPU clock speed. The L2 cache controller will be build directly in the CPU to increase the efficiency. If you look into NexGen NX5 and its motherboard, you will get the full picture. Of course, SMP will be another importance feature of this new M3/K6 motherboard architecture.

As a matter of fact, Pentium II motherboard should be built in such a way. Forturely for Cyrix and AMD, Intel chose the SLOT 1 architecture and made inferior systems for their own CPU. Without the lousy engineering team from Intel, Cyrix and AMD will offer the PC industries a better architecture on M3/K6.

These are of what I thought. Any insight information towards this subject are most welcomed.

As to Intel puts, I hope that INTC will pull back a few points tomorrow. How do you like INTC JUL 120 puts? I am thinking to get some more to bet on the dispointed Q2 earning and many downgrades on the way before its expiry date.
