Scumbria, I believe in paying off the debt (used to be a Republican issue), and preserving the environment (everybody's issue.) How about giving every citizen and permanent resident of this country a bill for his portion of the debt ($20,000+) and let them decide if they want to pay it off right away, pay it off slowly, or just pay interest, and wait until inflation erodes the debt to nothing? Joe
