Recently, SVCDQ announced the contemplation of a new business plan for 2001 and the delay of emergence from chapter 11 until after X'mas 2001. We noticed a change of strategy by the market makers. Now the market makers are pricing the stock as if the company could revive with the old stock. Thus the valuation will only depend on good news. Whereas before, the company will cancel the old stock because of negative equity value; the market makers would like to dump the stock on uninformed stockholders.

The company has good merchandising in home appliances and need only to improve the jewelry line for better penetration in that market. If they succeed then the old stockholders may yet come out with some value, next year or later than next year. It is hopeful rather than hopeless at this point.
