Will SpinCo and its MSM5200 - along with its Asia value chain (including LG and Samsung) save NTT's butt? Will NTT's wCDMA dreams hinge on the 5200?

Not a good day for NTT.

Can't make Java handsets work. Now there have been 2 recalls and the termination of all Java handset sales.

Now, with 3 months till deadline, confessions of wCDMA handset problems finally surface... and deadlines are in doubt...

In November, I speculated that Tachikawa's October 28th confession of dramatically diminished expectations for NTT's wCDMA network would not be the last disappointment - to the consternation of some NTT admirers...
