Either way you do this it is going to be problematic because of the heat generated. And putting a big heat generator on permafrost might be considered a bad idea. Now it might be possible to pipe it to a floating facility where the SO2 scrubbing/LNG production/catalytic conversion to longer chain HCs occurs. But SO2 is corrosive through several mechanisms so the distance it is piped had better be short. Or you put up with periodic leaks.
