Dain Rauscher Wessels reinitiated research coverage of Krispy Kreme (KREM: news, msgs) with a "strong buy" rating and $100 price target. The firm previously had the stock rated a "buy" with a $78 target. The stock is trading up $2.73 at $67.69. Analyst David Geraty said a recent visit with management convinced him that the donut maker "is the dominant industry player," with strong operating trends and a management team that "is proving to be among the best in the industry." Since going public in April 2000, the stock has traded in a range of $108.50 to $29.
