CR you forgot the best part.
But the game is not over for Java. Sun, Intel and Apple all say they will deliver chips that improve Java performance. Lotus, IBM, Symantec and others are delivering better and better tools. And Java still offers what Papows calls "the last and best hope for a unifying language" that could lead to a "renaissance of application development."
