LOL! Are they (Japs) stealing or steeling our iron? Remember WWII. -g-

While no fan of their cars, unlike MB, a remelt is no problem if you get the metalurgy right. Yeah, it is a pain to pull tests but it works out OK if you do it right. I say this based on exposure to castings for train parts. Pick any significant component of an individual rail car and they can tell you its whole life down to the minute it was cast and what the composition was. And it usually starts out as a scrap heat. You do have to control the process, though.
