Rational Software Completes Acquisition of Catapulse

CUPERTINO, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Rational Software
(Nasdaq: RATL), the e-development company, announced today that it has
completed its acquisition of Catapulse. The acquisition was approved at a
special stockholders meeting held February 5, 2001, where more than 99

of the shares voted were voted in favor of the merger.
