karlos - a couple martini recipes for The Bar.
You know, in case we ever have something to
celebrate or toast ......

Cosmopolitan

1 oz citron vodka
½ oz triple sec
¼ oz lime juice
¼ oz simple syrup
splash Chambord
splash cranberry juice
twist of lime, for garnish

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a
Martini glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.

Simple Syrup

2 c water
2 c sugar

1. In a sucepan over high heat, bring the water and sugar to a boil. Decrease the heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool. Keep refrigerated for up to 2 months.

Lemon Drop

¾ oz sweet-and-sour mix
¾ oz citron vodka
¾ oz triple sec
twist of lemon for garnish

1. Sugar the rim of a chilled martini glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add the sweet-and-sour mix and muddle. Add vodka and triple sec. Shake well.
Strain into the glass and garnish with lemon twist.

Sweet-and-Sour Mix

1 ¼ c water
1 ¼ c sugar
¾ c freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice.

1. Prepare simple syrup with water and sugar. Add lemon juice and mix well. Keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
