Yes, though I wouldn't use the word "hate", like I wouldn't use the word sin. It is not to the point of the issue. And maybe I will retire someday and get to these outstanding posts to you? They are adding up.

I thought a lot about the "rationale" today while I cruised the neighborhood. One thing that came to mind is the poor people here who have a hard time with the "rich" folk who come to play in their backyard with toys they could never afford, then split. A few of them (the poor ones) are not very nice characters, and attempted to intimidate the "rich" folk from coming. It worked for awhile, till there was a concerted effort by other people here to stop it. That was another use of violence, and threats, to "control" against a few to control the behavior of many. A few would get hassled, and tell their friends, and people were scared to come.

It's not so much about hate, since lots of people do that, but about controlling the behavior of many by intimidation and/or violence against the few.
