That's strange. I didn't think the two issues are related.

Speaking of the environment, someone who truly cares about the environment will not be a very popular choice for the presidency. Caring about the environment means making very difficult choices, but obviously that's well beyond any politician's capacity to lead. (Hint: Tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve while at the same time saying that gas should be $2/gal is NOT an action taken by someone who truly cares about the environment.)
