Hey Tim, what's your thinking on assisted suicide?

Good question. I am somewhat conflicted on this. In principle I think someone should be able to commit suicide
(although the people making the decision often are not rational at the time and if prevented they not infrequently
will be grateful). The problem with assisted suicide and euthanasia is that if it is accepted I think it will be too
likely to be used in situations where it is uncertain if the person really wants to commit suicide.

I guess I'm kind of opposed to assisted suicide as a regular practice but I don't know that that means that I think it should be illegal. There are any number of things I don't like but don't think should be illegal.

Tim
