You appear to me to be trying to make a clear implication that right-wingers, and only right-wingers, violate civil rights in a massive way. I am simply pointing that the Left is at least as good at that sort of thing.

Yes, communism is a wonderful, beautiful thing- -until you try to actually implement it in the real world. Then it becomes an ugly disaster. There is no such thing as a communist or a Communist who is not an absolutist. Communism is something you have to shove down peoples throats at gunpoint.
And I would agree that the same statement can be made of capitalism: the pure version, unsullied by real world practicalities, is a horrible disaster.
