I'm sorry that SI Bob is gone, i.e. no longer here in an official capacity as a thread cop or mediator. It's cool that he is now here as a friend. I think he's shown qualities that will make him successful in whatever endeavor he chooses to pursue.

After reading this ….

SI is dead, gone, history, assimilated, victim of corporate manslaughter.

I’d like to change the subject a bit. When did you first realize that SI was gone?

I think we should have a discussion about it.

There’s been a few occasions where access to the site was so bad that I thought it was gone, shutdown, fini, kaput. I was wrong in thinking the site was gone or history because I was temporarily denied access but I know the site whether I can access it or not has been gone for a while.

It’s not been the same since the Datek incident followed by the New ‘Improved’ SI that we all hated. I still use the "quisling" classic version.

The first time I realized SI was dead was about the time Josif hung up his posting gloves. We’ve all been going through the motion since then. IMHO.
