ARBA... Some thoughts. ARBA was down because the sector is totally in a huge decline which will probably exhaust itself but that is not the point. ARBA was already headed for a double bottom before today and I know i mentioned that already. The point is that I do NOT automatically trust any poster who posts to 5 different threads a message that will quite obviously elicit a strong reaction.

I have stayed on this thread for 4 years and can count the times I've strayed on my fingers. I don't include someone who might move to two threads to say "This chart looks good".. Traders and non-traders hang around SI a lot and make 'cyber-pals' on other threads and like to chat. SmartMoney probably simply posted what he thought was a legitimate article and link.

It is the posters responsibility to check out the post There is, in my opinion, a crossing of a line here when someone posts 2 identical posts on more than 2 threads. The combination of posters who read it is not known, but I would warn this thread... NEVER, NEVER take posts like that seriously. Check to see if the poster has posted on various threads. Check the sources of any article even with a link. A link is nothing, unless you can confirm the link is to some REPUTABLE publication.

SI is a public message board.. anyone can post opinions whether they have credentials or not. Its not that credentials automatically add veracity to the post but at least you have a little more information on which to base an opinion. We all remember that EMLX story. It is the responsibility of everyone on SI to check out the credibility of posts.
