Technology is still less than a third of my portfolio at the moment, mostly long-term calls in top quality techs like GLW.

I have believed for a while now that hitching much of one's short-term fortunes to tech is a recipe for losing money, unless your time horizon is at least 6-9 months.

It's all a question of confidence and sentiment. The fundamentals in the fiber optics sector remain strong, no matter how the sell-side schmucks try to spin it. But the market may take a while to acknowledge that fact amidst all the FUD.
