I'm wondering whether the drop on Friday has to do with Q's admission that royalties from W-CDMA aren't going to happen until 2003 at the earliest. On the other hand, I appreciate the clarity on the picture and the "gloves off" Sulpizio that is telling it like it is, and fishing for some converts from W-CDMA to CDMA. Sure would be nice to get a couple of switchers to confirm it though. The interesting news is that they are making this multimode phone for someone - right? They don't design chipsets without customers in mind. China already has its SIM card. Maybe it is Vodaphone that wants the multi-mode chipset. I guess this could just be for cross-atlantic roaming but it would be very nice to see them set up a British CDMA system.
