HI: I'm surprised too. For the last few months merely getting a company name mentioned seems enough to have the price drop. Doesn't matter if they make money or increase their market share it seems that to remind the market that there is a company has been enough to have the shares fall.

But QLT is a bit off the beaten track and maybe the share holders are too.
