I agree, left field. OTOH, might this explain Sulpizio's recent chest thumping about multi mode? Also Sprint has been quite public in touting the advantages of CDMA 2000 and ease of deployment within existing spectrum. Do they have an economic interest in Verizon staying CDMA 2000 such as economies of scale in hand set production, or do the different frequencies make that issue a non-starter?

I really hate to dwell on or add to every bit of negativity, but there's certainly been no end to it. Seems just as one issue gets put to bed - e.g. W-CDMA royalties - another pops up - e.g. delay of W-CDMA roll out. As someone mentioned earlier, maybe that's the price of revolution. They just don't come easy - or very often, for that matter.
