To me the greatness of a country is not measured by the monuments built by the government. I do not stand in awe of the pyramids of Egypt. How many thousands of people died constructing these buildings to comemerate the Pharaohs ? Was it worth it even though it lasted thousands of years? Not in my mind. Building monuments is what governments do best. Look at Washington DC. Give me Disneyland
