Oh, dear. Someone's a little humor-impaired today. If I had said "swamp land in Florida" instead of "undervalued dot-com shares" would it have been clearer? And, no, I don't have any swamp land either.

I fully agree that market makers and others try to manipulate the market. But my point was simply that they are also in competition with each other so the tactics that Art suggested would be counterproductive.

And, yes, stocks do have "real value", or at least "perceived real value". It's just that it can vary from person to person and day to day. You couldn't be confusing value and price could you?
