Hello Benjamin - FWIW, VZ had a meeting with analyst this week. ( investor.verizon.com ) There was no mention of wCDMA. IMO, their statements are more deliberate/conservative then a PCS or AWE (this could however be due to the upcoming IPO). In any event, these are some notes I scribbled down: - 3.7 Mil Adds in 2000 (No breakdown of Analog/Digital) - In April 70% Digital coverage by Dec 83% coverage - 50% of customer base is now using Digital - They believe killer App is Alerts and SMS During Q&A - Support BREW as a response to AT&T and i-mode. Will see BREW phones before we see AT&T i-mode phones. - Begin 1xRTT build out 4Q this year, with large build out next year. Only spent $10Mil on research and trials w/ NT and Lucent
