No, see, you are looking at it all wrong. You are looking at it from the viewpoint of what the users want, and what someone who understands programming would want if he or she were actually a member of the site.

That's not the way the owners look at it. Beyond starting test threads to try and see if their hack job fixed something that got butchered, nobody at INSP actually uses SI, I doubt they ever have.

They listened to some Oracle salesman who was obviously very good at his job. They bought his deal and now they look at it like "Here is what we changed it to, deal with it. If you don't like it, send us a note and we'll ignore it because we know what you really wanted in the first place."

No big deal really, Jeff and Brad got taken care of, and they invented it. The rest is some lesser souls being paid to paint over the chapel ceiling.
