Glen, I'm not sure just where you are, and the same cable providers seem to have different speeds in different areas of the country. I have a couple of friends on Long Island and they connect up to "Cablevision" and both are experiencing about 2Mbps down and 1Mbps up. My DSL on Qwest line to a local ISP is about 550Kbps down and 240Kbps up. The summation of all zip codes for Adelphia appears to be 1Mbps down and about 100Kbps up. They are listed 14th at DSLReports you can put your specific zip code in and see what others are getting in your area. (Both cable and DSL)
