I plead guilty to that practice. I decided the errors I found divided by the amount of time I spent was less than minimum wage. Much less. I check to make sure the major deposits are there and major debits. But how hard am I going to look for a $10 error?

I used to spend hours to make it balance it to the penny. Every month or two, I'd be off. I'd just add (or subtract the error) into a category called "unknown balance error" and keep going. Finally, I decided not to even do that.
