Hi Maverick: I will be very brief, as we will have to agree to disagree. Why do I own OE?
1. My holdings in OE represents the speculative portion of my portfolio.
2. I belive in the technology and I think it has a market.
3. I think that management,as engineers are brilliant and as managers they are mediocre.
4 . I think that as smart engineers they will get it right someday and that will be the payoff.
5. I think that even when we sign the "Holy Grail" an auto 4S deal there will still be problems getting the revenue to the bottom line - read profit.
6. Not withstanding the above - I think that management will eventually learn that profits are required or they will be taken over for the technology - and there goes the engineers research campus. While the company is theirs to run as they please - it is owned by the shareholders - and we can sell it out, without the permission of management to a hostile bid. My point, management need the shareholders as much as the shareholders need management.
Don't worry about the presumptuous remark - I was just needling you a little.

Has OE's management disappointed me for years - YES. They operate without consistency, forethought or planning IMO, and all at the expense of the shareholders. Will they get an inspiration one day and feel that a profit is required - my gamble is yes, it will happen. The shares will spike -that is when I plan on selling as I feel that there will be administrative problems in bringing the revenue to the bottom line.
Likewise I wish you luck in you holding, hope you end up owning a nice big boat.
John
