JRI,

No my views do not exclude any sharp rallies that may take place between now and then. This market has taught us over the years to expect volatility. That I believe won't change. What will be different at least now imo will be that stock prices will not be running away. Stocks may change direction violently but prices will quickly lose steam as they run into the downward forces that be. Of course they are always a handful of stocks (tech) that happen to be in a different position. Companies like EMLX, CMVT, and even QCOM have managed to have more bullish patterns overall. In regards to the stocks that you mentioned I believe QCOM could if it breaks the resistance that it's hitting as we speak could run into the 107 area (the high set in December) before running into this 1st quarter obstacle that I've mentioned in my last post. MU and INTC problems (technically) are much more immediate and will force companies to do or die so to speak.

The bottom line is that stocks are facing major obstacles here. It should also go without saying that each company should be traded off the merits of its own chart. But I do believe prices will be headed lower. Some will just move ahead of others.

Hope that helped.
