Since a tax cut has no effect for 16 months or so, if he was interested in anything other than survival he would have proposed a uniform across the board tax rebate on year 2000 taxes for an instant uniform injection into the pockets of taxpayers, thus creating a large cash injection thus boosting the economy. Instead he bought into the right wing philosophy to screw everyone but the real rich for the sake of keeping his job
