The constraints for PDAs - such as iPAQ - are driven by ULTRA low power - afforded by ARM/Xscale technology.

In fact - at one time - Intel was considering using xSCALE technology to "emulate" the x86 instruction set - a la Transmeta/Code Morphing - to achieve these goals.

As for the new "Timna2" as you call it - who knows - maybe it will be Xscale based.
