I love america online. I think it has been as important to the internet as any company or software. Most of us wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Steve Case's vision. However AOL business model is fatally flawed and there is nothing that can be done about that. They are victims of the success they help create.

However they still have incredible assests .
1. 6 million subscribers which is still the largest block on the internet.
2. AOLnet backbone is larger then ATT's backbone

Here is what I think they should do
1. Do a deal with Netscape to intergrate there mail software into Netscape browser . The AOL mail GUI is still greatest and easiest to use.

2. Get bought by ATT.This would be a perfect fit.

3. spin off Content as one company
