Now, all our peace in this miserable life is found in humbly enduring suffering rather than in being free from it. He who knows best how to suffer will enjoy the greater peace... That sounds very like a presentation of the upside of doing as little as possible to prevent and assuage human suffering. The estimated ten million -- and the number is growing -- child prostitutes must be enjoying deep reservoirs of peace.
