There will be no short squeeze.
Why will their be no short squeeze and why are hedge funds still shorting MCOM? Because everybody knows that the company needs a lot of additional money very soon and the only way for them to get that money is to issue more shares or securities that will convert into more shares. The lower the stock price goes, the more shares that have to be created/issued by the company to raise the same amount of absolute dollars. The tital wave of new shares that might be created/issued will dilute the value of all the existing/old shares.
Metricom seems like they have a nice product but that is unrelated to the reasons that I think the stock goes still lower.
Just an opinion, I might be wrong, but that is how I see it. For the record, I am neither long nor short MCOM.
